Rising to over 3,000 feet in elevation, the mountains that provide the backdrop for Lake Lure are breathtaking to behold.  From west to east, Highway 74A meanders from Asheville and Fairview through the quaint mountain towns of Gerton, Bat Cave, Chimney Rock, Lake Lure and eastward, to Bill’s Creek and the Rumbling Bald Resort.

Lake Lure is the gem among these mountain towns and provides almost 736 acres in what has been called "one of the most beautiful manmade lakes in the world" by National Geographic Magazine. And, because it is a manmade lake, the water level is constantly maintained.

Our spot amidst the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina is just a quick 45 minute drive to Asheville or Hendersonville and about an hour and a half from Charlotte or Greenville, SC. We are only a three hour drive from Atlanta.

Chimney Rock State Park offers the best of the mountains in one place-spectacular 75-mile views, hiking trails for all ages, a 404-foot waterfall, and a variety of special events.

Several 18-hole golf courses and an array of water activities that include swimming, skiing, boating, fishing and rafting are all available.  An eclectic assortment of restaurants and cafe's, as well as an active Arts Council, provide a respite from the array of outdoor activities.

Private, gated communities with pools, restaurants and so much more are located throughout the area.  In addition, private estates that include horse farms, gentleman farms and acreage are also available.  Lakefront properties continue to be highly sought after and our area also offers a wonderful assortment of lovely mountain cabins and cottages.
